With summer coming I knew I had to start thinking ahead which is when I joined Suzie’s Boot Camp. “When I first trained with Suzie I was recovering from a serious illness which involved three operations and two months in hospital. I had multiple spinal fractures and was in a fair amount of pain. I had a marked stooped appearance as a result of the fractures. I had lost confidence in my physical being.
I responded positively almost immediately to Suzie’s professionalism, her caring and warmth. She was extremely careful not to injure me but at the same time she built my confidence and encouraged me to challenge myself.
In May this year, Suzie conducted a boot camp on the Greek island of Santorini. She took six clients from Melbourne and trained us on the island. I was very apprehensive because of my ongoing medical condition but she nagged, cajoled and encouraged me and I finally agreed to make the trip.
